Requesting Account Deletion
Users may request the deletion of their NewsOS account and all associated personal data by contacting our support team. All deletion requests are processed manually after a necessary identity verification step to ensure the security of your account.

Information Required
To help us verify and process your request efficiently, your email should include:
- The Google account email address used with NewsOS.
- Any additional information necessary to verify ownership of the account.
Data That Will Be Deleted
Upon successful verification and processing of your request, we will delete the following data associated with your account:
- User profile
- Selected interests
- Saved articles
- Reading history
- Personalization profile
- Authentication records associated with the NewsOS account
- Any other account-specific personal information stored by NewsOS
Data That May Be Retained
Please note that certain information may be retained even after your account is deleted, but only when strictly required for:
- Legal compliance
- Fraud prevention
- Security
- Dispute resolution
Retained information is kept only as long as legally required for these specific purposes.
Processing Time
We aim to process all account deletion requests within 7 business days.
You may receive confirmation once the deletion has been completed.
